What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
My favorite yarn to knit with is merino, second favorite is merino/silk blend, i like wool/cotton blends, alpaca, cashmere (who doesn't like cashmere), and cotton - have you guessed? I'm a yarn snob :) Give me the natural fibers, not the acrylic.

I don’t like some of the plastic feeling acrylics, but will knit with wool/acrylic blends. I don't really like to knit with the fur or eyelash yarns, but like the look of them blended with a natural fiber.
2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
Have several types of needle cases, some straights stored in a crystal vase as room décor :) Keeping my needles in a certain place is a challenge as I knit all over the house.
3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
A friend taught me the basics and got me obsessed with learning more about 2 years ago. I took a sock class at LYS, and learned the rest by reading books or online lessons. I would say that my skill level is intermediate.
4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
Yes
5. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products, etc.)
Bergamot, or citrus, Gardenia, lavender, and pumpkin spice or apple scents
6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?
Love dark dark chocolate, caramel, butterscotch - can't beat the taste of werthers!
7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?
I don’t spin, sometimes crochet, like to cook and used to make soap, but have enough stashed away to last me the rest of my life.
8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
I like a variety of music - favorite is classic rock, love Norah Jones, Eric Clapton, the Stones, Eagles, and admit to loving Barry Manilow (even though my family cringes), and my computer & car stereo will play CD's, but I don't know about MP3’s
9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand?
Green, red, royal and black - jewel tones or primary colors are the best looking on me. Yellow and cream wash me out, but I’ll use them for socks.
10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
Married, 2 daughters ages 19 & 15, 2 stepsons ages 25 & 18, one dog “Bandit” a shih tzu poodle mix, one polydactyl cat “Zoe” and one siamese mix cat “KiKi”. Only the 15 y/o child left at home along with the fur pets.
11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?
I wear scarves, hats and mittens or gloves, no ponchos… they don’t look very good on such a short person :)
12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
Socks and Lace
13. What are you knitting right now?
Socks: toddler size for charity, pomatomus socks, and basic ribbed socks;
Lace: Frost, Flowers & Leaves shawl, Mystery Sole 2 (almost complete)
14. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
I knit most everything on circulars. I have a variety of types. My favorite-can't-get-enough-of needles are the classic size 0 and 1 circulars from Knitpicks.
16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?
Yes, both
17. Is there anything that you collect?
Other than yarn and knitting needles, I have a small collection of wine and have a good collection of wine plaques, and also like to decorate my Christmas tree in angels
20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn?
I would like to learn short row heals – have the instructions, just haven’t tried.
22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?
Yes, definitly obsessed with knitting socks. Always have socks in progress. I wear a size 7 to 7 ½ shoe, the length of my foot from end of toe to back of heel is 9 ¼”, 8 1/8” in diameter. I usually cast on 60-64 stitches on size 0 or 1 needle using fingering weight yarn.
23. When is your birthday?
